Birmingham is our hometown, too. That’s why, in addition to the personal finance products and financial education we offer our members, we also focus on volunteer and service projects that help to make our region stronger.

What are the major differences between credit unions vs. banks?

While the priority of traditional banks is to ensure their external shareholders make a profit on every financial product, a credit union benefits its members only. That allows credit unions to charge lower fees and interest rates on loans, and to return more earnings to members in the form of higher dividends.
