Opening a Legacy Checking Account is free and takes less than 3-5 minutes.

Here's how to apply online:

• Visit legacycreditunion.com and select JOIN on the home page.
• Take a few moments to enter your personal info and complete the enrollment.
• Once the enrollment is completed, we'll send a Legacy VISA Debit Card in the mail to the address you provided or you can pickup an Instant-Issued VISA Debit Card in any of our convenient branches.
• Your new debit card typically arrives by mail in 7-10 business days.
• Download our mobile banking app, and log in. You can also login to online banking at legacycreditunion.com whenever you need it.

You can be as young as 13 years old! You must have a joint owner if you are under 18 years old. The joint owner does not have to be a Legacy member.

You can get cash at more than 40,000+ fee-free ATMs via the MoneyPass Network. Otherwise, out-of-network ATM withdrawal fees may apply.

If you have an Engage Checking Account, ATM fees will be refunded up to $6/month when qualifications are met.

If you have misplaced your debit card, you can "freeze" your card in the Legacy Card Control App until found.

You can get paid up to two days early with every direct deposit. Early access to direct deposit funds depends on the timing of the submission of the payment file from the payer. We generally make these funds available on the day the payment file is received, which may be up to two days earlier than the scheduled payment dates.
