About The Foundation

The Legacy for Good Foundation was created in July 2010 by employees of Legacy Credit Union and community members. Our mission is simple, but impactful: “Do Something Good Today.” The foundation fulfills this mission by aiding individuals in immediate need and supporting local non-profits seeking to create solutions to issues facing the Greater Birmingham area.

If you would like to apply for a grant from the Legacy for Good Foundation, please complete the application below. All applications will be reviewed by our Board of Directors. Additional information may be requested. Applicants will be notified once their grant request has been approved or denied.

Our Mission in Action

The Legacy for Good Foundation partners with Legacy Credit Union for initiatives throughout the year. Some of our most popular initiatives include Battle for Bragging Rights, Casual for a Cause Days, Books for Babies, and the Annual Toy Drive. Through the generosity of our employees and members, we are able to choose local charities and organizations as recipients of these efforts.
