General Merger Questions
Why did First Community Bank of Cullman merge with Legacy Credit Union?

Legacy and FCB share similar culture and values and place the same strong emphasis on service. Legacy will be able to provide new products and benefits, and it increases access to a wider branch and ATM network. Legacy is committed to providing First Community Bank customers the highest level of service and personal attention.

When FCBC made the decision to seek a partner, their first priority was to identify a financial institution that had a similar culture and philosophy that was focused on the community, customers, employees, and personal service.  That is exactly what they found in Legacy.  As a community-chartered credit union, Legacy has been meeting the financial needs of our members for over 70 years.  With a strong commitment to service and growth, Legacy is driven by four core values that shape our culture, inform our decisions, and undergird our operations. These values are excellence, education, energy, and empowerment, and we are uncompromising in our efforts to reflect these qualities in the way we do business.
