About The Foundation

The Legacy for Good Foundation was created in July 2010 by employees of Legacy Community Federal Credit Union and community members, and is committed to strengthening the communities it serves by focusing its efforts on education, community and rural development, charitable endeavors, the arts, and the environment. The Foundation fulfills its mission to Do Something Good Today by aiding individuals in immediate need and supporting local non-profits seeking to create solutions to issues facing the Greater Birmingham area.

If you have $5 to open a share (savings) account and are eligible through our field of membership, you can become a member (not a customer) of a unique financial institution. Legacy is a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative that is committed to providing our members with the BEST financial services available at the lowest cost.
