Legacy Donates $10,000 to Children’s of Alabama

The Legacy for Good Foundation partnered with Legacy Community Federal Credit Union for the 2nd Annual Legacy for Children’s initiative, donating over $10,000 to Children’s of Alabama, the state’s only freestanding pediatric medical facility.

The Legacy for Good Foundation and Legacy Community Federal Credit Union partnered to sell t-shirts at all area branches. In addition, over 100 Legacy employees participated in Casual for a Cause Day to further support the Legacy for Children’s initiative.

During the first two Legacy for Children’s campaigns (2014 & 2015), the combined efforts of the Legacy for Good Foundation and Legacy Credit Union, in conjunction with Co-Op Financial Services Miracle Match Program, raised over $27,000. These funds help provide necessary services at Children’s.

Legacy for Good Foundation Chair Gina Cannady stated, “I am so excited that we were able to donate over $10,000 to Children’s of Alabama this year. The donations from the Legacy Foundation, Legacy staff and members, as well as the Miracle Match funds go directly to provide superior medical services to our children.  Through my son’s use the Children’s on 3rd HEAR Center,  I have personally experienced the amazing things they offer children in this state.”
